Dam

When installing a culvert, the barrier allows better work to be done in less time. In addition, the barrier is extremely safe; workers have a high degree of confidence in it.

The water barrier can be installed parallel to the river. This way, we can drain half of the river and allow roadworks. The current flowing along side does not affect in any way the Water-Gate's installation or it's maintenance in position.

For culvert repairs, in some cases the existing pipe can be used rather than having to resort to transfer pumps. A pipe extension was used for this application, allowing the Water-Gate to easily go over it.

Megasecur International also offers an overflow diverter tunnel that rides atop the Water-Gate and connects to a spillway. This system lets you channel the overflow farther downstream, giving you a dry streambed.

The overflow diverter is made of rigid unbreakable polyethylene. The black part is funnel-shaped and acts as a siphon to channel as much water as possible. The yellow float inside the diverter serves as a stabilizer.

The diverter fits on all barrier models, and can even start operating before the water reservoir is filled up. A second overflow diverter tunnel can be added to the same barrier to increase the water flow. Overflow diverter tunnels may be installed wherever needed along the barrier.

The diverter only weighs 27 lb (12 kg) and is easily transportable. A single person can set it up in minutes.
